Playful Rhythms
AGES 4-7
Playful Rhythms, presented by Washington Performing Arts Society and Washington Conservatory, is a lively camp immersing young children in singing and playing percussion instruments. Participants learn the music and dance of other cultures while exploring various rhythmic styles. The camp is led by early childhood education specialists using Orff and Dalcroze methods and includes interactive workshops with WPAS local teaching artists.

Children of the Gospel Choir
The Annual WPAS Children of the Gospel Vocal Workshop is a two-week program that provides young vocalists the tools to develop their vocal range and technique. Participants will expand their knowledge of vocal production and health, songwriting, and choral conducting while broadening their skills in leadership, team-building, and self-confidence.

Summer Steps with Step Afrika!
WPAS Summer Steps with Step Afrika! is a one-week program exploring the variations of the tradition of stepping, as well as its associations with other percussive dance styles. Led by members of the D.C.-based Step Afrika! troupe, the program explores the relationship between music and rhythm and helps participants build discipline and leadership skills.
